Accessibility
This site is built to be used by everyone.
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a target we work to and test against, not a certificate we hold — so this page sets out what we have actually checked, what we have not, and how to tell us if something is wrong.
How we check
Every change is checked automatically before it goes live: page structure, link wording, colour contrast, reduced motion, and whether any content has been left invisible by animation. The checks run across every page of the site and must all pass.
What we have verified
- Structure that reads correctly aloud
- Every page has one main heading, headings that descend without skipping a level, a main landmark, and real lists rather than styled paragraphs. Checked automatically across all 12 pages.
- Every link says where it goes
- No link relies on an icon alone or on surrounding text to make sense. Where two links would otherwise read alike, each carries wording that distinguishes it.
- Nothing is hidden by animation
- Movement on this site can never leave text invisible. Every page is scrolled rapidly and checked for content stranded mid-animation, because a decorative effect that fails should cost you nothing.
- Reduced motion is honoured completely
- If your device asks for reduced motion, animation is not merely shortened — it is never started, and the walkthrough video is never downloaded. Nothing is hidden and nothing moves.
- Colour contrast is measured, not assumed
- Text and background pairs are measured from what is actually drawn on screen. Body text sits at about 15.8:1 and the orange apply button at 6.45:1, both above the 4.5:1 the standard asks for.
- It works without JavaScript, and without the images
- The full text of every page, and every way to contact us, is present with JavaScript switched off and with images blocked. The moving scene is decoration; it never carries information of its own.
- Keyboard and touch
- Everything can be operated from the keyboard, focus is always visible and never hidden behind the floating navigation, and the menu returns focus where it found it. Primary controls are sized for a finger, not a mouse pointer.
- No sound, ever
- This site ships no audio track at all. Nothing will play unexpectedly.
What we have not done yet
- We have not had an independent accessibility audit, and we do not publish a formal conformance report.
- Our testing is automated checks plus manual keyboard and zoom checks. We have not tested with every combination of screen reader and browser.
- Several pages are still being written. Those pages say so rather than showing a blank.
