Kaylz Academy opens for the 2026/2027 academic year with Grade 1. Grade 2 and further grades will be added as the school grows.
The Three-Speed Classroom
Every child is assessed and placed in the learning group that best matches their current level.
Supported
Children who need additional support to build foundational skills in literacy and numeracy.
On Track
Children who are progressing at the expected level for their grade and age.
Extended
Children who are working above grade level and are ready for greater challenge and depth.
This ensures no child is left behind and no child is held back.

We do not list hours per subject here. The confirmed timetable for each term is shared with parents at the start of every term.

What to bring
9 exercise books. One exercise book for each subject, plus a Communication Book that travels between home and school.
- Crayons (24 pack)
- 1 pack of coloured pencils
- 1 box of washable markers
- 1 box of watercolour or poster paints
- 1 pack of mixed paintbrushes
- 1 art apron
- 1 pair of child-safe scissors
- 1 white glue
- 1 pack of clay or modelling dough
- 5 pencils
- A sketch pad for Arts and Crafts
Most of these can be bought from the school itself if you would rather not source them yourself — just ask.
The textbook list is still being finalised and will be shared with families before term starts.
The uniform
Children wear the school uniform every day. It can be bought locally; ask at the school if you are not sure where to go.
- Shirt
- A burnt-orange short-sleeved shirt with a collar and a full button front.
- Tie
- A striped tie in orange, cream, grey and charcoal, worn with the collar.
- Shorts or skirt
- Charcoal grey. Boys wear short trousers to the knee, with a plain black belt; the girls’ skirt is pleated.
- Badge
- The school badge — the quartered orange and teal shield — is worn on the left of the chest.
Please check with the school before buying, so you get the right shade and the badge.

Getting there, and the school day
- Is there school transport?
- No. Families arrange their own way to and from school.
- Are meals provided?
- Meals are optional.
- What about snacks?
- Children can buy a snack at school or bring one from home.
